Born in Houston, Missouri (Texas County) Country Boy Don Williams grew up in the Ozarks near Sedalia, Mo. Huntin’ and Fishin’. He is a U S Army Veteran and a Life Member of the D. A. V. He got his start in radio after winning a Valentine’s Day Date Contest. (The date didn’t work out… but, the radio career did) He worked at KOUL for many years in Corpus Christi, and after it was sold he moved to New Mexico where he launched a new four station cluster in Clovis. Soon he found himself longing for a return home. He says “to be able to return home and work with a staff of true professionals, play “Real Country” music, for a great group of fans is truly a “Dream Come True.”
