Contest & Prize Rules

• These general rules apply to KFTX contests, sweepstakes, giveaways, call-in promotions, online entries, and social-media promotions unless a specific promotion states otherwise.
• Each promotion may include additional material terms such as eligibility restrictions, entry methods, start and end times, prize descriptions and approximate retail value, winner-selection method, odds, deadlines, and special conditions.
• Participants are responsible for reviewing the applicable promotion page, official rules, and material terms announced or advertised for the specific contest.
• KFTX reserves the right to interpret and apply these rules in good faith, subject to applicable law and any controlling promotion-specific terms.

• Entrants must satisfy the age, residency, geographic, timing, and other eligibility requirements stated for the specific promotion.
• Employees, officers, directors, and agents of KFTX, its licensee, participating sponsors, promotional partners, and prize suppliers—and members of their immediate families or households—are not eligible unless the specific promotion expressly states otherwise.
• Entries must be submitted through an authorized method and within the announced entry period. Late, incomplete, illegible, false, deceptive, automated, bot-generated, manipulated, or fraudulent entries may be rejected.
• A participant may not use multiple identities, fake accounts, scripts, automated systems, or other methods intended to obtain an unfair advantage.
• KFTX may require proof of identity, age, residency, eligibility, or entry compliance before confirming a winner.

• Winners will be selected using the method announced for the specific promotion, which may include random drawing, designated caller position, judged criteria, trivia response, or another disclosed method.
• Potential winners remain subject to verification and are not final winners until KFTX confirms eligibility and compliance with all applicable rules.
• KFTX may contact potential winners by telephone, voicemail, email, direct message, social-media comment, or another method disclosed for the promotion.
• If a potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within the stated deadline, fails verification, declines the prize, or is otherwise ineligible, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected or the prize may be otherwise used at KFTX’s discretion.
• KFTX may require a valid government-issued photo ID and, when appropriate, an eligibility affidavit, liability/publicity release, tax documentation, or other reasonable prize-claim paperwork.

Unless a specific promotion states otherwise, a person may win the same prize or the same recurring giveaway only once in any 30-day period. KFTX may verify prior wins before confirming eligibility.

Promotion-specific frequency limits may be stricter and will control when stated. Attempts to evade a winner-frequency restriction through another name, account, phone number, or household member may result in disqualification.

• Unless otherwise specified, prize winners have two (2) weeks from the date of winning to claim or pick up their prize.
• Standard KFTX office and prize-pickup hours are Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The office is closed for lunch from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Hours are also subject to station-observed closures and holidays.
• Winners are responsible for arranging timely pickup and should contact KFTX in advance if the promotion provides a different delivery method.
• Unclaimed prizes after the applicable deadline are forfeited and may be rescheduled for giveaway, awarded to an alternate winner, returned to the sponsor, or otherwise used at KFTX’s discretion.
• Unless KFTX expressly approves another arrangement, prizes are non-transferable and must be claimed by the verified winner.

• Unless otherwise specified, physical tickets won from KFTX must be picked up by 5:30 PM on the day of the event.
• If the event is scheduled on a Saturday or Sunday, physical tickets must be picked up by 5:30 PM on the Friday before the event.
• Tickets not claimed by the applicable deadline are forfeited and may be used or redistributed by KFTX. No exceptions unless KFTX expressly specifies otherwise.
• If KFTX provides electronic ticket delivery, digital transfer, mobile entry, will-call pickup, or a different deadline, those specific delivery instructions control.
• Event tickets are subject to the issuer’s, venue’s, promoter’s, and artist’s terms and policies. KFTX is not responsible for an event’s cancellation, postponement, schedule change, lineup change, denied venue entry, or replacement of lost or stolen tickets after delivery.
• Unless the specific promotion states otherwise, transportation, parking, lodging, meals, fees, and other incidental costs are the winner’s responsibility.

• For call-in contests, listeners must wait for the announced on-air cue and follow the instructions given for that specific promotion.
• The current KFTX Request & Contest Line is (361) 510-4163. Calling outside an announced contest window does not create an entry unless the promotion expressly says otherwise.
• Caller position is determined by KFTX’s telephone system and station procedures. KFTX is not responsible for busy signals, blocked calls, carrier delays, dropped calls, telephone outages, equipment failures, or other circumstances outside KFTX’s reasonable control.
• If a call disconnects before KFTX can verify the caller, confirm eligibility, or obtain required information, KFTX may proceed to another caller or otherwise resolve the situation consistent with the announced contest terms.
• For trivia, word, identification, or answer-based contests, the station may require a complete and correct response within the time allowed. The on-air host’s reasonable determination, subject to the disclosed rules, controls.

• Online entries are received according to KFTX’s or its authorized provider’s systems and timestamps. Proof that a participant attempted to submit an entry is not proof that KFTX received a valid entry.
• Duplicate, automated, bot-generated, scripted, manipulated, or otherwise abusive entries may be disqualified.
• KFTX is not responsible for interrupted service, network congestion, platform outages, transmission errors, corrupted data, device incompatibility, or other technical problems outside its reasonable control.
• Unless expressly stated otherwise, a promotion conducted through Facebook, Instagram, or another social platform is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with that platform.
• Participants are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information and monitoring the account, inbox, voicemail, or direct-message channel used to enter.

• Prize descriptions and approximate retail values, when applicable, will be stated in the promotion-specific terms. Actual value may vary.
• Prizes are awarded as described and have no cash alternative unless KFTX expressly states otherwise.
• If an advertised prize becomes unavailable, KFTX may substitute a prize of equal or greater approximate value when permitted by law and consistent with the promotion’s material terms.
• Winners are solely responsible for federal, state, and local taxes and any costs or expenses not expressly included in the prize description.
• Prizes may not be sold, assigned, transferred, or exchanged by the winner unless KFTX expressly permits it. Electronic delivery of tickets from KFTX or an authorized ticket provider to the verified winner is considered prize delivery.
• KFTX is not responsible for prizes that are lost, stolen, damaged, expired, or misused after confirmed delivery or pickup, except as required by law.

• Where permitted by law, acceptance of a prize authorizes KFTX and its promotional partners to use the winner’s name, hometown, voice, image, likeness, and prize information for reasonable promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless the specific promotion states otherwise.
• By participating, entrants agree to follow applicable laws, promotion-specific terms, venue rules, platform rules, and reasonable station instructions.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, entrants and winners release KFTX, its licensee, participating sponsors, promotional partners, and prize suppliers from claims arising from participation in the promotion or acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize, except for claims that cannot legally be waived.
• Participants should never provide false information, impersonate another person, interfere with another entry, or attempt to compromise the fairness or operation of a promotion.

• KFTX may disqualify any participant who tampers with a promotion, acts fraudulently, disrupts the entry process, violates these rules, or undermines the fairness or integrity of a contest.
• If fraud, technical failure, platform failure, natural disaster, severe weather, public emergency, event cancellation, legal restriction, force majeure, or another circumstance outside KFTX’s reasonable control materially affects a promotion, KFTX may suspend, modify, terminate, or reschedule the promotion as permitted by law.
• Any material change will be disclosed as required by applicable law and governing broadcast contest rules.
• KFTX is not responsible for delays or failures caused by telecommunications providers, internet providers, social platforms, ticketing systems, sponsors, venues, promoters, or other third parties outside KFTX’s reasonable control.

Some KFTX promotions have additional or separate official rules. Those promotion-specific rules supplement these general rules and control if there is a conflict.
