Dolly Parton Breaks Three Guinness World Records

The Guinness World Records recently revealed that 75-year-old country music superstar Dolly Parton has broken three records.

“Congratulations to country music icon @DollyParton who’s achieved three new records!” the organization tweeted.

Parton now holds the title for most decades on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart by a female artist (seven) and most No. 1 hits on that chart by a female artist (25). She also bested her own existing record for the most hits on the chart by a female artist with a whopping blowing 109 hits.

In January, Parton had topped the list with her 108th track, “Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas.” However, her recent release, “Does He Love You,” featuring Reba McEntire, helped her to earn her 109th hit.

“This is the kind of stuff that really makes you very humble and very grateful for everything that’s happened,” Parton told the organization at a presentation ceremony held in Nashville, Tennessee.

“I had no idea that I would be in Guinness World Records this many times!” she added. “I am flattered and honored. I’ve had a lot of people help me get here. Thanks to all of you and all of them for helping me have all of this.”
