Kacey Musgraves To Cover ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ For Elvis Biopic

Kacey Musgraves recently revealed she has recorded a version of Elvis Presley‘s 1961 classic “Can’t Help Falling in Love” for the upcoming soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann‘s Elvis biopic.

Musgraves revealed the news on Monday (May 2) while walking the 2022 Met Gala red carpet, after Luhrmann told Variety, “She has a song in the movie – something to do with love.” “Can’t Help Falling in Love” first released on the album Blue Hawaii, which served as a soundtrack for the film of the same name.

Musgraves walked the red carpet with Elvis’ ex-wife Priscilla Presley and friend Jerry Schilling as well as Luhrmann, actor Austin Butler, and other figures attached to the film.

The Elvis biopic is set to hit theaters June 24. The film’s soundtrack, which is to be released in “summer,” will features artists from different genres performing their takes on the singer’s hits.
