Counter star Maren Morris recently dropped a new single “Circles Around This Town.”

“I swear I don’t know how I trusted / A Montero with the A/C busted / A couple bad demos on a burned CD / Would take me all the way to Tennessee / I showed up to the new apartment / First month’s, last month’s two deposits / Hadn’t heard the sound of a door slam yet / Thank God I was an optimist,” Morris sings in the song.

Morris dropped the new single on Thursday, January 6, along with an accompanying video. “Circles Around This Town” is the first new music from Morris’ next project, a follow-up to her 2019 album Girl.

Meanwhile, Morris is currently nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Song for the single “Better Than We Found It” as well as for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Chasing After You” with her husband Ryan Hurd.
