The Real Country Crew has joined with the Refugio Volunteer Fire Dept. to give you tips on how you can help prevent grass and wildfires. Most every county in the state of Texas is currently under a burn ban due to extreme drought conditions. All it takes is one spark and it can be devastating. Some simple ways you can help are to keep trailer tires properly inflated, ensure safety chains aren’t dragging causing sparks, don’t drive into tall grass if your car has a catalytic converter, one spark from a flipped out cigarette can cause a huge problem. Volunteer fire departments need help. Fuel costs are through the roof. People are needed to volunteer and fight fires. Support people are needed in feeding and making sure the firefighters are hydrated. If you can help please donate or volunteer at your local volunteer fire department.
