THE FARM SERVICE AGENCY (FSA) IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR DAMAGES AND LOSSES CAUSED BY DROUGHT (FAST TRACK) OCCURRING AUGUST 13, 2019 AND CONTINUING. EMERGENCY FARM LOANS FOR BROOKS, DUVAL, JIM HOGG, JIM WELLS, LIVE OAK, MCMULLEN, AND WEBB COUNTIES.  FARM LOAN OFFICER, CHRISTINA R. ESCOBEDO, ASKS FARMERS WHO WANT TO APPLY FOR EMERGENCY LOANS TO SUBMIT THEIR APPLICATIONS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.  THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS APRIL 29, 2020 FOR PRODUCTION AND PHYSICAL LOSSES, BUT ESCOBEDO SAYS IF FARMERS WAIT TOO LONG, A BACKLOG WILL DEVELOP AND CAUSE DELAYS.

GENERALLY, FARMERS WHO HAVE LOST 30 PERCENT OF THEIR PRODUCTION OR ANY PHYSICAL LOSS DUE TO DAMAGES AND LOSSES CAUSED BY DROUGHT (FAST TRACK) OCCURRING AUGUST 13, 2019 AND CONTINUING ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE EMERGENCY LOANS.  THE FSA OFFICE IS LOCATED AT 2287 N. TEXAS BLVD., SUITE 3 IN ALICE.
