Alison Krauss To Be Inducted Into Bluegrass Hall Of Fame

Bluegrass and country star Alison Krauss is set to be inducted into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame.

In addition to Krauss, Lynn Morris and The Stoneman Family will also be inducted to the Hall of Fame.

The induction ceremony will take place on September 30 during the IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Krauss has won 27 Grammy Awards, second only to Beyoncé‘s 28 among female artists. She has won two album of the year awards at the Grammys for her contribution to the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack and for Raising Sand. Krauss has also won seven CMA Awards.

The International Bluegrass Music Association also announced the nominees for the 32nd annual IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards.

The five nominees for entertainer of the year are Balsam Range, Billy Strings, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, The Del McCoury Band, and The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys.
