“American Idol” judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie are set to return for the singing reality show’s sixth season on ABC along with host Ryan Seacrest.
Bryan, Perry and Richie have been judges of the show since ABC revived the Fox show in 2018. Seacrest has been the host since the original show’s creation in 2002. The series will return in spring 2023 and will be the 21st season overall.
Season 6 auditions will begin on Wednesday, August 3, with the return of the live virtual audition tour “Idol Across America” taking place in all 50 states plus Washington, D.C.
“Idol Across America” auditions will be held through August 31 online. Contestants must be at least 15 years old to audition and may do so on any “Idol Across America” date regardless of location.
