Carly Pearce Laughs Off First Onstage Fall In Iowa

Carly Pearce slipped and fell onstage during her performance at the Delaware County Fair in Manchester, Iowa, last Friday (July 14) but has laughed off the incident.

Pearce was performing her hit “Next Girl” from the studio album 29: Written In Stone, when the mishap took place. She slipped and fell while attempting to make way down the catwalk but swiftly regained her composure and got back on her feet to deliver a strong performance of the track.

Ironically, the next lines after she got up were: “He said he never falls this hard. Yeah, I remember that part”

Pearce then told the crowd, “One of you is gonna put that on the internet and I’m gonna die.”

Later on Friday, Pearce wrote on Twitter, “Well there’s a first time for everything and I sure busted my booty tonight in Iowa. Who has a video? ??”

“Celebrating” her first-ever onstage tumble, Pearce posted an edited clip on social media that shows the epic moment replayed over and over, set to the beat of Gwen Stefani‘s “Hollaback Girl.”

“First fall on stage, better make it count,” Pearce captioned her post.
