Chris Young & Kane Brown’s ‘Famous Friends’ Certified Double Platinum

Chris Young and Kane Brown‘s “Famous Friends,” the title track from Young’s eighth studio album, has been certified double platinum by the RIAA.

Young co-wrote “Famous Friends” with Corey Crowder and Cary Barlowe, who also joined him for the celebration. Young also earned a platinum plaque for his song “Drowning,” which he co-wrote with Crowder and Josh Hoge.

“Any day I get to celebrate big milestones with my co-writers and friends is a good day,” Young said. “I’m really proud of how hard everyone has worked on this entire project and excited about playing all of the new music live and the rest of 2022.”

With more than five billion streams across his catalog worldwide, which includes 12 No. 1 singles to date, the RCA Records Nashville artist has earned an impressive 24 total career multi-Platinum/Platinum/Gold certifications by the RIAA.
