Country Stars Help Loretta Lynn Celebrate 90th Birthday

It was a grand celebration for Loretta Lynn last Thursday (April 14), with several country stars sending their wishes through a video on her 90th birthday.

The video posted on Lynn’s Facebook page shows artists including Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Maren Morris and more wishing the country legend well on the happy occasion.

At the end of the video, Parton sings a rendition of “Happy Birthday” just for Lynn. Parton even adds some of her own flavor, finishing by singing, “We will always love you,” a nod to her own hit song.

Many artists spoke about the impact Lynn has had on them. “To us, you’re always timeless and ageless and always will be,” says Tim McGraw, with Faith Hill giving a nod.

“Thank you for showing girls like me how it’s done,” says Ashley McBryde. Underwood says, “I know you know what you mean to so many of us, so happy birthday. Enjoy it, celebrate and I hope I see you soon.”

Reba McEntire tells Lynn she loves her with “all my heart,” while Alan Jackson shares that he’s going to have a drink for Loretta because “it’s always five o’clock somewhere.”

Carole King, Martina McBride, and Tanya Tucker, were amongst the other famous faces who participated in the video tribute.

Lynn, the most awarded female country artist of all-time, was the first woman to be named the Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year in 1972.
