NBC recently announced country duo Dan + Shay will serve as the first-ever coaching duo for “The Voice” singing competition’s Season 25, set to premiere in spring 2024.
“The Voice” also tweeted the news and included a sneak peek of Dan + Shay’s names on the famous spinning chairs. The duo shared the post on Twitter and wrote, “SO EXCITED FOR THIS!”
The duo will work together, with Chance the Rapper, Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, Gwen Stefani and R&B icon John Legend serving as other coaches for the season.
McEntire replaces Blake Shelton, who has departed the series after Season 23 after serving as a coach since the competition’s very first season.
Legend and McEntire will serve as coaches for the second season in a row, as NBC has announced them as coaches for season 24, which airs this fall. Chance the Rapper, who appeared as a coach in season 23, returns for season 25.
Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney previously performed their single “Speechless” with contestant Chevel Sheperd on Season 15 and served as Shelton’s Battle Advisor in Season 20.
