Eric Church, Chris Stapleton Lead Nominees For 55th Annual CMA Awards

Country superstars Eric Church and Chris Stapleton lead the nominees for the 55th Annual CMA Awards.

Stapleton leads with seven nominations, including male vocalist, album of the year, single and song of the year, and two additional nominations as a producer both on his album and single. Church earned five nominations, including entertainer of the year.

Meanwhile, controversial country star Morgan Wallen, who was caught earlier this year using the “N-word,” also got a nomination for album of the year. Other top nominees include Gabby Barrett along with mix engineer Jason Hall and producer Jay Joyce each with four nominations.

Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Maren Morris and Chris Young each earned three nominations a piece.

The 55th annual CMA Awards will air Wednesday, November 10, on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
