Gabby Barrett recently released a music video for her song “Growin’ Up Raising You.”
The song is from her most recent album, Chapter & Verse, which was released last Friday, February 2nd.
The music video was directed by Ash Summerford at Southall Farm & Inn in Franklin, Tennessee. The track was produced by Ross Copperman and Barrett.
In the song, which was penned by Barrett, Jon Nite, Zach Kale, and Jimmy Robbins, Barrett confesses to all the hopes and fears that accompany new motherhood. She is currently expecting her third child.
“I’m doing the best that I can while trying to raise other people to be the best people they can be,” shares Barrett. “I feel so blessed to be able to have three little lives that I can help to flourish while I’m also trying to figure out life myself.”
Barrett and her husband, Cade Foehner, met as contestants on “American Idol” in 2018 and married the following year. They’re now parents to daughter Baylah May, who was born in January 2021, and son Augustine Boone, who was born in October 2022.
Their third child, another girl, will make her arrival “any second now,” Barrett said.
