Keith Urban To Return As Guest Mentor On ‘American Idol’ Season Finale

Country superstar Keith Urban is set to make a return as a guest mentor on the season finale of “American Idol,” nearly seven years after he retired from judge’s duty.

“Once an IDOL judge, now our FINALE guest mentor,” “American Idol” announced on Instagram along with a picture of Urban. “Welcome back, @keithurban!”

Urban was a judge from seasons 12 to 15. According to Billboard, Urban will also perform his 2022 hit, “Wild Hearts,” during the three-hour finale on Sunday, May 21, with other performers to be announced soon.

The “Blue Ain’t Your Color” singer will guide the top three contestants through their performances.

On Sunday, 18-year-old Hawaii native Iam Tongi, 20-year-old Georgia native Megan Danielle, and 18-year-old Mississippi native Colin Stough will compete for the title of American Idol.
