Kelly Clarkson covered alt rock legends the Pixies‘s classic “Where is My Mind?” during the “Kellyoke” segment on her daytime talk show “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Monday, November 29.

Clarkson gave her own pop twist to the classic rock song as she was accompanied by her band Y’all.

“With your feet on the air and your head on the ground/ Try this trick and spin it, yeah/ Your head will collapse/ If there’s nothing in it/ And you’ll ask yourself/ Where is my mind?” she sang.

“Where Is My Mind?” is the seventh track on the band’s 1988 debut album Surfer Rosa. The song was included on the 2021 version of Rolling Stone‘s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, ranked at No. 493.

Meanwhile, the Pixies are set to perform a headlining set at Manchester’s Sounds of the City 2022 next July.
