Kelly Clarkson performed a powerful cover of Miley Cyrus‘ “Jaded” during the “Kellyoke” segment of a recent episode of her “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
“I don’t wanna call and talk too long / I know it was wrong, but never said I was sorry / Now I’ve had time to think it over / We’re much older and the bone’s too big to bury,” the “American Idol” winner sings in her cover of the ballad.
Clarkson wore a multi-color, color-block dress for the performance, as her band Y’all accompanied her.
“Jaded,” which was released on April 17, 2023, via Columbia Records, was the third single from Cyrus’ eighth studio album Endless Summer Vacation (2023). It was written by Cyrus, Sarah Aarons, and the song’s producer Greg Kurstin.
It marked the second time in a month that Clarkson covered one of Cyrus’ songs. On January 11, Clarkson performed a cover of Cyrus’ “Used To Be” during a “Kellyoke” segment.
