Lainey Wilson Cancels Iowa Shows Due To ‘Family Emergency’

Lainey Wilson took to social media on Wednesday (July 27) to announce she has canceled her upcoming shows in Iowa due to a “family emergency.”

“Due to a family emergency, I’m unable to play this weekend’s shows in Maquoketa, IA and Arnold Park, IA. I’m so sorry to cancel last minute, but please trust I would not be backing out if it weren’t critical,” Wilson tweeted.

“Please keep my family in your prayers,” she added.

It is now known as yet if Wilson will reschedule the affected dates.

Wilson, who is the reigning Academy of Country Music New Female Artist of the Year, shot to fame through her single, “Things A Man Oughta Know,” from her 12-track project, Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’.

Wilson said that the single is one that’s about “discernment, mustering up the courage to do the right thing, and having good character. That right there is something every single one of us oughta know.”
