Lainey Wilson Shares Nostalgic ‘Watermelon Moonshine’ Video

Lainey Wilson recently released a video for her latest single, “Watermelon Moonshine,” a song from her Bell Bottom Country album.

The video, directed by Stephen and Alexa Kinigopoulos, sees Lainey Wilson narrating a story and singing in a dusky field.

The visual shows a gray-haired woman, played by Rachel Lynn Matthews, driving her truck to a remote field. Digging in the field, she unearths a moonshine mason jar and starts reminiscing about her past and the boy who stole her heart.

The video then shows a teenaged version of the woman sharing sips from the moonshine jar with a young man at a barn party. As they are about to get intimate and share a kiss, the party breaks up with lights flashing outside.

Later, the two reunite after the boy, played by Sam Sherrod, gets hired as a farmhand by the girl’s father. Towards the end of the video, the older version of the young girl is seen unfolding a piece of paper inside the jar and revealing the words “Don’t forget me.”

“From locking eyes for the first time, to playing spin the bottle with an Ole Smoky mason jar, to being too crazy about each other to tame it, I am so happy with how Rachel Lynn Matthews and Sam Sherrod brought the vision to life through their portrayal of their innocently passionate characters,” Wilson said.
