Atlantic Records has released “Out of Oklahoma” by Lainey Wilson, the latest song from the soundtrack to the upcoming film Twisters.
The star-studded 29-song project, Twisters: The Album, will be released on July 19 when the film premieres in theaters.
The country star shared the news of the release of “Out of Oklahoma” and its video on Instagram.
“‘Out of Oklahoma’ my new song and video for the ‘Twisters’ movie is out now. It’s wild how life throws a theme at you ain’t it. My life the past few years has felt like a twister.hence why I titled my new album ‘Whirlwind,'” she said, referring to her upcoming album, set for release on August 23.
“So when I got the opportunity to write a song for the new ‘Twisters’ movie, it was a challenge I couldn’t pass up. Reading Kate’s story, I found a lot of parallels between our lives,” she added. “We’re both chasing wild and crazy careers, but they make us feel something and give us a sense of home. Make sure to catch the new ‘Twisters’ movie in theaters July 19th, and get ready to hear my whirlwind story out Aug. 23rd on my new album.”
“Too Easy” from Tanner Adell, “Already Had It” from Tucker Wetmore, “Never Left Me” by multi-platinum artist-songwriter Megan Moroney, “Hell or High Water” by Bailey Zimmerman and “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma” from Luke Combs are the other songs that have been already shared from Twisters: The Album.
