Luke Bryan Earns 25th No. 1 On Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart With ‘Waves’

Luke Bryan has earned his 25th No. 1 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay Chart, with “Waves” rising a step from No. 2 on the chart dated September 4.

The song had 31.9 million audience impressions in the week ending August 29, as per MRC Data.

“Waves,” from the deluxe version of Bryan’s seventh studio album Born Here Live Here Die Here, was released on April 12. The song was written by Chase McGill, Ryan Hurd and Zach Crowell.

“‘Waves’ is a song about kids falling in love during the summer and just all the images and everything about how beautiful that summer love is and how the emotions just keep coming in waves,” the country star says about the song.

Bryan ranks sixth for the most No. 1s on Country Airplay, behind Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson and George Strait.
