Reba McEntire Denies Involvement In Fundraiser For Kristi Noem

Reba McEntire has denied her involvement in a fundraiser for South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.

In a clarification posted on social media last week, the 66-year-old country music icon lashed out at the Republican fundraiser listing her as special guest without her consent.

“Last night, an invitation to a political fundraiser with my name attached was sent out without my knowledge or permission,” McEntire wrote on Twitter on Friday.

She clarified that she “had and have no plans to attend this event and had told the organizers as such.”

“Throughout my career, I have stated that I do not get involved in politics and that remains true today,” she added.

A publicity poster for the June 13 event, shared on Twitter, had featured McEntire as “special guest” along with actor Red Steagall.

The names of Montana Governor Greg Gianforte, Sen. Steve Daines and Rep. Matt Rosendale also appeared in the advertisement for the event, which was held at Spur Cross Ranch in Gallatin Gateway, Montana, on Sunday.
