Staind’s Aaron Lewis Shares ‘Goodbye Town’ From Upcoming Solo Album

Staind‘s Aaron Lewis has released a single, “Goodbye Town,” from his upcoming solo album, Frayed at Both Ends, which is due to arrive on January 28, 2022 via Valory Music.

The track features harmonica from Mickey Raphael.

The lyrics of the song go like this: “Goodbye heartbreak, goodbye home / Goodbye divebar I used to go / I gotta get out, out of this goodbye town / And goodbye happy and hello regret / Hello all the things I wished I said / I’m going down, down in this goodbye town / Where am I supposed to go now that you’re gone?”

Frayed at Both Ends will be Lewis’ fourth solo album. He released its first solo project, The Road in 2011.

“This is an album of saying things that need to be said about how people actually live,” Aaron said of the upcoming record. “Life isn’t easy. Most people drink to forget, or drive for hours trying to get away from what they can’t let go of or leave behind.”

“Work takes it out of you. Love falls short or destroys you. Disappointments stack up,” he added. “But still you have to keep going – and how you do that says everything about the man that you are.”
