Tim McGraw Shares Cinematic Video For ‘Standing Room Only’

Tim McGrow recently released a video for “Standing Room Only,” the lead single off his forthcoming new album.

Craig Wiseman, Tommy Cecil and Patrick Murphy wrote “Standing Room Only.” The song, produced by Byron Gallimore, is McGraw’s assertion that he wants to live his life building meaningful relationships and not accumulating possessions.

The visual, directed by Andrew Sandler, captures McGrow in the middle of a field as he delivers the song and crosses paths with several sentimental items.

“This video brings the song to life by really giving you a visual of shedding the past and bringing light, literally, to the old junk,” McGraw said. “I love the metaphor of standing in a junkyard and watching it light up. Then we had these sweet vignettes – of a mother and son, of a dad and daughter and others, that showed old junk items coming to life because of their memories. I thought that was a cool concept. That it’s not the ‘stuff’ but the memories of life we hold dear.”

“I never love watching myself over and over in a video,” he added. “But I was really happy with the job they did on the video. I love the junkyard area and the way the lights shine out of the car. I thought the other actors did a great job.”

McGraw hopes fans like the song and the visual. “‘Standing Room Only’ is a special one, and I think the life-affirming message holds true,” he said. “Live a life filled with gratitude and don’t take things for granted.”
