Toby Keith’s ’35 Biggest Hits’ Re-Enters Billboard 200 At No. 1

Toby Keith‘s 35 Biggest Hits has re-entered the Billboard 200 albums chart at No. 1.

The record rose to the spot after the country superstar’s death on February 5. It is Keith’s fifth chart-topper on the all-genre chart, and first since 2010.

The greatest hit collection earned 66,000 equivalent album units in the tracking week ending February 8, up 953%. The album was originally released in 2008 and initially peaked at its debut rank of No. 2 on the list dated May 24, 2008.

The record contains 31 of Keith’s 42 top 10 hits on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart, including 15 of his 20 No. 1s.

The country music icon passed away on Monday, February 5, just 18 months after he revealed he had stomach cancer. He was 62.

“Toby Keith passed away peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family,” a statement said. “He fought his fight with grace and courage. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time.”

Keith revealed in June 2022 that he had been diagnosed with stomach cancer.
