Trisha Yearwood Shares Acoustic Re-Recording Of ‘She’s In Love With The Boy’

Trisha Yearwood released an acoustic re-recording of her debut single “She’s in Love With The Boy” on Friday (July 2), marking the 30th anniversary of the release of her self-titled debut album.

“She’s in Love With the Boy” is the lead single off Yearwood’s debut album, which came out in early July 1991. The song hit No. 1 on Billboard‘s U.S. Country chart, earning Yearwood the distinction of being the first-ever female country artist to top the list with a debut single.

The acoustic version will appear on Yearwood’s upcoming new deluxe version of her 2019 album Every Girl, due out on August 13.

Garth Brooks, who later married Yearwood, co-wrote and sang backing vocals on Yearwood’s second single, “Like We Never Had a Broken Heart,” which reached No. 4, and two more singles, “That’s What I Like About You” and “The Woman Before Me,” both hit the Top 10.
