Zac Brown Band, Sam Hunt, and Elle King will no longer be performing during CBS‘ year-end special “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash.”
Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. attributed the lineup change to Covid-19 safety protocols, with Zac Brown revealing on Instagram that he has test positive for the coronavirus “despite taking precautions.”
“While we were very excited to join the incredible line up of artists and millions of amazing fans tuning in to watch, our #1 priority is the safety and well-being of our fans, band, crew and venue staff,” Brown wrote.
“We’re looking forward to great things ahead and seeing you all on our tour next year,” he added. “We wish everyone a safe, healthy and happy 2022!”
Country trio Lady A are now set to perform on the Bicentennial Mall main stage along with headliner Dierks Bentley, Ingrid Andress and BRELAND.
The five-hour musical special, to be hosted by radio/television personality Bobby Bones and Entertainment Tonight‘s Rachel Smith, will be broadcast on CBS Television Network and stream live and on demand on Paramount+ beginning at 8 p.m. ET on December 31.
The New Year’s Eve special event will still feature nearly 50 performances taking place on various stages, including the main stage at Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.
