Zac Brown Band’s ‘Same Boat’ Sails To No. 1 On Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart

Zac Brown Band‘s “Same Boat” has reached No. 1 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart.

“Same Boat” rose from No. 4 to the top spot of the chart dated December 4. The single recorded 28.2 million audience impressions, up 9%, in the week ending November 28, according to MRC Data.

Zac Brown Band earned its 14th No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart. It is also the band’s first No. 1 in five years after “Beautiful Drug,” which led for a week in April 2016.

Frontman Zac Brown co-wrote the song along with Ben Simonetti and Jonathan Singleton.

“We wrote ‘Same Boat’ to help remind us of what we have in common and what makes us human,” Brown told Billboard. “I’m really grateful that our fans are listening and connecting with that feeling of togetherness and unity. It’s what makes our country great, and gives us all a little hope this holiday season.”

“Same Boat” is the first single from Zac Brown Band’s seventh studio album, The Comeback, which dropped on October 15 via Home Grown Music and Warner Music Nashville.

The record debuted at No. 3 on Top Country Albums in October, with 19,000 equivalent album units.
