Ashley Monroe Shares Stunning Bryan Adams Cover After Revealing Cancer Diagnosis

Ashley Monroe has shared a stunning cover of Bryan Adams‘ 1991 hit “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You.”

Monroe shared the cover after recently revealing that she has been diagnosed with a rare blood cancer.

She teamed up with rising country songstress Brittney Spencer and producer Tyler Cain on guitar for the heartfelt cover of “Everything I Do.”

“[Spencer] is a new friend of mine, and I absolutely adore her on every level,” Monroe writes in the caption. “She and I had been texting about our mutual love for @BryanAdams, so @thisistylercain and I asked her to come sing one of our favorites of Bryan’s with us.”

The Pistol Annies member also revealed how special this song was for her, saying, “I used to sing this song to Dalton every night when he was a baby. I know this song hits Brittney deep too. It hits me even deeper now with what I posted yesterday.”

“I hope you all feel this one as much as I do. Thank you again Brittney and Tyler for doing this with me last week. I’m honored to know you both,” she added.”

Monroe has been diagnosed with a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia. Monroe says her disease is treatable and that she is optimistic going forward. She was scheduled to start chemotherapy with doctors at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Wednesday.
