Cody Johnson Releases Two More Tracks From Upcoming Album

Country singer-songwriter Cody Johnson has released two new tracks from his forthcoming album.

Titled “God Bless the Boy (Cori’s Song)” and “Stronger,” the new songs deal with intensely personal themes relating to family, with the former being an ode to Cori, one of the singer’s two young daughters.

“I hope his daddy is teaching him how/To shake my hand and look me in the eye/And takin’ him fishin’ and bustin’ his butt/When he ain’t actin’ right,” Johnson croons in the second verse of the song, speaking about the boy who his daughter will one day bring home.

Johnson has been making good on his promise to release two songs from the upcoming collection every month leading up to the album’s release in September.

The new pair of tracks follow the songs “Til You Can’t” and “Longer Than She Did,” which Johnson dropped in June.
