Gabby Barrett Wins BBMAs For Top Country Female Artist, Top Country Song

Gabby Barrett won in three categories at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, including for Top Country Female Artist.

The rising country star, who was nominated for nine awards, beat out superstars Maren Morris and Carrie Underwood for the top country female artist award.

Her smash vengeance anthem “I Hope” was selected as the Top Country Song. The song, featuring Charlie Puth, was also voted by fans as the Top Collaboration.

“I’m gonna try to keep it together as best as I can…This is a really big deal. This means so much to me,” Barrett said in her acceptance speech.

An emotional Barret recalled that she and her team — including her father and sister — have been working hard for a decade during her rise to the top of the music genre.
