Jelly Roll Reveals Why He Was Unable To Perform On ‘The Voice’

Jelly Roll has revealed the reason why he was unable to perform on “The Voice” Season 24 finale.

The country superstar was scheduled to sing his country radio chart-topping mega-hit “Save Me” with Lainey Wilson at Tuesday night’s star-studded show.

Jelly Roll withdrew from the event in the evening, saying that he was “extremely sick.”

“I was looking forward to performing tonight on the Voice, but I am extremely sick and unable to perform,” he said in a statement posted on Facebook. “I’m sorry if I have disappointed anyone- if there was even a slight chance I could perform I would be on that stage tonight.”

“The Voice has been kind enough to have me back in May next year and I look forward to giving y’all the best performance of my life,” he added. “Thank y’all for all of your love and support!”

“The Voice” host Carson Daly shared the news on stage and announced that Roll will perform on the show’s finale next season.

Keith Urban, Dan + Shay, and Earth, Wind & Fire were among artists who took the stage on “The Voice” Season 24 finale.

The final episode of this year’s “The Voice” music reality contest also witnessed performances by the four coaches – Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, John Legend and Niall Horan.

The big winner of the night was Michael Huntley.
