Keith Urban Teams Up With Jimmie Allen For Duet Of ‘Boy Gets A Truck’

Keith Urban teamed up with Jimmy Allen for the duet “Boy Gets a Truck,” for recently released Gold Edition of Allen’s collaborations project, Bettie James.

“Boy Gets a Truck,” which was written by Ash Bowers and Aaron Scherz, originally appeared on Urban’s Ripcord album, which came out in 2016.

“When it comes to music I love, I don’t really get wrapped up in boundaries or genres,” said Allen, who is known for fusing genres and blending musical styles and inspirations. “There’s some pop, there’s some rock, there’s some country, there’s some R&B. I got a chance to work with legends! I was trying to picture each moment [the song was framed in]. I feel like that’s what makes the songs better. I’m super proud of the body of work of this album. I’m super proud of the body of work of this album and can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Allen had already recorded a solo version of “Boy Gets a Truck” for his debut album, Mercury Lane, which came out in 2018.
