Miley Cyrus Covers Dolly Parton’s ‘Light Of A Clear Blue Morning’ On ‘SNL’

Miley Cyrus covered Dolly Parton‘s “Light of a Clear Blue Morning” during her return as musical guest on NBC‘s sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live” on May 8, which was hosted by Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Cyrus, who considers Parton her godmother, performed “Light of a Clear Blue Morning,” while “SNL” cast members appeared alongside their moms as a tribute to them on Mother’s Day.

The pop superstar ended the performance by inviting the cast members and their mothers onto the stage, including her own mother, Tish Cyrus. Cyrus also wished a Happy Mother’s Day to Parton.

Cyrus also performed a duet of “Without You” along with rising Australian rapping sensation The Kid LAROI.

For her final song, Cyrus performed the title track off her new rock-themed album, Plastic Hearts.

Plastic Hearts, her seventh studio album, dropped on November 27, 2020, by RCA Records. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and received positive reviews from music critics.
