Taylor Swift’s ‘Cruel Summer’ Ties Record For Most Weeks Atop Billboard’s Pop Airplay Chart

Taylor Swift‘s “Cruel Summer” has tied her own record for the most weeks atop Billboard‘s Pop Airplay Chart.

The song, from her 2019 album Lover, returned to No. 1 for a seventh total week on the chart dated September 30.

Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” led the Pop Airplay Chart for seven weeks in 2013.

The record for the most leaders in the Pop Airplay Chart’s three-decade-long history – 12 songs – remains in the name of Swift, one ahead of Maroon 5, Katy Perry and Rihanna.

The pop icon has been performing “Cruel Summer” on her ongoing The Eras Tour. She opens the shows with the chorus of “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince,” leading into “Cruel Summer.”
